Mariecke van der Linden exposeert momenteel in de Hermitage Amsterdam. Ze is artist in residence in het Amsterdam Museum waar ze een atelier heeft wat op afspraak te bezoeken is en voert een uitgebreide kunstpraktijk waarin ze werkt aan zowel grootschalige culturele projecten als individuele portretopdrachten.
Haar spectrum van disciplines rijkt van ambachtelijk portretteren tot theatraal kostuumontwerp tot opera en personal branding ;
De inspiratie is er vooral een van serendipiteit, Mariecke zoekt niet maar vindt haar ideeen in de geschiedenis, in de stad, zo komt de Franse tijd geregeld terug in haar kostuums en is de Gouden Eeuw een constante bron van beelden en verhalen.
